The Bitcoin Way was born out of a desire to help others navigate the complexities of the Bitcoin world. Childhood friends, Ahmed and Endi, witnessed the FTX collapse in 2022, which sparked the idea that people needed more support and guidance.
The idea for The Bitcoin Way was sparked in the aftermath of the FTX collapse. Endi and Ahmed began working on a vision to empower individuals with true Bitcoin self-custody. In March 2023, Endi reached out to Tony on Nostr. Tony, who had over 25 years of experience in cybersecurity and was a freelance self-custody expert, immediately connected with the vision. Their connection was instant, and together, they decided to co-found The Bitcoin Way. At that time, Bitcoin was valued at $16,500.
Our official debut took place at BTC Prague 2023, where the team met in person for the first time and presented our services to the Bitcoin world. The reception was overwhelmingly positive, with many attendees telling us that a company like The Bitcoin Way was sorely needed in the space. Following this success, Tony was invited to numerous podcasts and shows, helping us grow our presence. His appearance on Saifedean’s podcast in December 2023 significantly boosted our visibility, marking a major step forward in our journey.
In January 2024, we expanded beyond Bitcoin to offer a comprehensive suite of services focused on cybersecurity and privacy. Our new offerings include helping users set up firewalls, VPNs, and data encryption to protect their digital lives. Additionally, we introduced our Plan B residency services, completing the full sovereignty theme that The Bitcoin Way stands for. Alongside these new services, we launched our own newsletter, which quickly became a popular resource in the Bitcoin community. We also introduced a weekly podcast, along with multiple segments posted regularly, providing our subscribers with up-to-date information on the latest developments in the space.
We celebrated our official one-year anniversary at BTC Prague 2024. Over the past year, our team has grown, and our presence in the Bitcoin community has significantly expanded. This milestone was marked by both Tony and Rick taking the stage, where they shared their powerful stories and the journey of The Bitcoin Way. It was a proud moment that highlighted how far we’ve come in just one year
