At The Bitcoin Way, we prioritize your privacy and security during all consultations. To ensure this, we use Daily.co for our video calls, accessed through the open-source scheduling tool Cal.com. Here's how your privacy is safeguarded during calls:
Daily.co employs 256-bit TLS encryption for establishing secure connections, and AES-256 encryption to protect all video and audio communications. For one-on-one consultations, Daily.co creates peer-to-peer connections between participants, ensuring that the data flows directly without passing through centralized servers. In cases where direct connections are blocked by network firewalls, media is relayed securely through TURN servers, which only relay media and do not store or decrypt it.
The platform never stores any audio, video, or screen-sharing data unless explicitly requested through their recording APIs, which are disabled by default. All conversations remain private and are not recorded unless authorized.
The data behind Daily.co is hosted in AWS data centers around the world, which are SOC 1, SOC 2, and ISO 27001 certified. This ensures that the infrastructure is secure and reliable.
For group calls, Daily.co connects clients through Selective Forwarding Unit (SFU) servers, with media being encrypted to and from these servers. While the media is decrypted and re-encrypted for each participant, this process happens in memory only, with no access to unencrypted data at the application level.
Daily.co only logs essential data, such as client IP addresses and user information if provided. These logs are stored for a limited time to improve service quality, and no unnecessary personal data is collected.
Your calls with us are protected through Daily.co’s comprehensive encryption and secure infrastructure, ensuring that your private discussions remain confidential.
Feel free to reach out if you have further questions about the security of your calls.
